BYD Sold Record 37,000 Electric Cars In December 2018

BYD did its best ever in December showing stunning sales performance. The Chinese company sold 37,010 passenger plug-in electric cars.

BYD #1 In World For Plug-In Electric Car Sales In 2017, Beats Tesla Again

Many had hoped that Tesla would've grabbed the #1 spot for the year, but with just over 103,000 sold, that didn't happen.

BYD sold in China a record high number of 5,624 plug-in electric cars in September 2015. Over 3,000 were Tang plug-in hybrids.

Sales of Chinese made plug-in cars exceeded 50,000 in the first half of 2015. The best selling model was plug-in hybrid BYD Qin with 16,477 sales.
